Sweet Sisterhood

I’ve never seen her more nervous or more cautious as when we ask her to hold her baby sister and pretend to sleep. “Just close your eyes,” we said. Very quietly and with as little movement as possible, she told us, “no.”  Her baby sister slept soundly on her chest – comforted and comfortable in her big sister’s embrace. She’s already an amazing big sister, at a very young three years old, and I’m sure she will watch over her sweet, beautiful baby always.
