The “Fur Baby”
February 9, 2010
This is my parents’ new puppy. Tully is the sweetest, mellowist puppy I’ve ever seen. He’s half pit bull and half lab. These pictures don’t show it (unfortunately), but he has white fur on his chest that is shaped like a heart. He’s about four months old and my parents rescued him from the pound. He’d only been there a couple weeks, but they were going to put him to sleep because he’s part pit bull. :(
They’ve had him for just over a week now and we’re all attached… Tully included. In fact, we’ve talked about changing his name to Shadow because he follows my mom and dad everywhere. (We’ve also talked about changing his name because it’s super close to our last dog’s name… Teddy.) He’s having some separation anxiety right now and sulks and searches all over the house for them when they leave. He’s super smart and adorably sweet. This post is cross-posted at Clarity Defined.
“A dog has no use for fancy cars or big homes or designer clothes. Status symbols mean nothing to him. A water-logged stick will do just fine. A dog judges others not by their color or creed or class but by who they are inside. A dog doesn’t care if you are rich or poor, educated or illiterate, clever or dull. Give him your heart and he will give you his.” ~John Grogan in Marley & Me
