Touch-A-Truck 2010

June 6, 2010

WOW! What an incredible event yesterday! Max’s Ring of Fire hosted Touch-A-Truck yesterday to raise money for pediatric cancer research and it was a HUGE success… with tons of people, great food from Brett’s BBQ, delicious sweets provided by the community for the bake sale and cake walk, fantastic raffle prizes, and awesome “things that go” — Del Mar Lifeguards, Don Prudhomme, Hummer Club of San Diego, SDPD vehicles (including SWAT!) as well as an assortment of bobcat construction vehicles, a garbage truck, and more. Wow. I was there volunteering with MROF and I’m still in awe at how well everything went and how our expectations were exceeded by the generosity of this community. It was so much fun.

I spent most of the day at one of the admissions tents, but I did get away for a half an hour or so to take pictures. Here’s a glimpse… more to come!
