Did you know my sweet nephew is almost seven months old now?! He had a big day at the beginning of this month. He was baptized!! It was a big day for me too – I’m his godmother. :D
It was a great weekend home with my family and I loved getting to spend so much time with this little guy. I feel super blessed to be chosen and trusted as his godmother by his parents. My prayers are many, but for now, my regular influence is limited to the board books and little lamb I gifted him since I live sort of far away. I found some great books on Amazon – a huge relief after being seriously disappointed in the baby/toddler options at Barnes & Noble.
I’m so glad my sister sends me videos and pictures all the time because I feel like I’m missing so much. He unstoppable now – crawling and starting to pull himself up! WHAT?! Baby boy, you’re just a BABY! Stop growing so quickly! :)
Now that he’s figured out crawling though, he does not have any interest in sitting still for pictures for auntie. :) My camera was way too interesting and he knew he could get it. I love this age for photos though. Plus that Baptism outfit?! I can’t even. And the bonnet. Oh goodness. Literally cannot. But, I will apologize to his future self though ’cause that was ALL auntie’s doing. I am a sucker for the bonnet, even if he does look like a little pilgrim. :) Just! So! Dang! CUTE! Come on, it’s true. Admit it.

I had the pleasure of photographing these sweet boys this past weekend. I’ve met big brother (A) a few times and we took pictures last spring, but I was excited to finally see him as a brother and get his sweet little brother in front of my camera for the first time. Z is just over 7 weeks and I was so impressed with how well he did!
It’s definitely a bit more challenging to get two wee ones (A is recently 2) and especially when the baby is past that total milk drunk newborn stage. They just don’t love being “posed” as much and they’re certainly more alert. :)
Thank you for a wonderful afternoon! A to Z and certainly complete. <3

We’ll pretend first that I’m not several months behind in blogging. Then, we’ll pretend like the year hasn’t raced by in epic fashion. Lastly, we’ll pretend that this beautiful family lives much closer to me so that I can see them more often. Deal? Deal.
This little man turned ONE last week and I am SO glad that I got to celebrate his ONEderful little life with his ONEderful parents and other awesome friends and family. He has changed so much since I last saw him… and even more since we took these. My how they grow!
I think my favorite part of it all was coming full circle from the engagement photos we took so long ago. These were the photos that signified and celebrate their decision to become a family and now they aren’t just husband and wife, but mother and father.
It’s beautiful. :) I feel so fortunate to watch the love continue to grow.

By now, you should be quite familiar with Abby and James as they’ve been on the blog a number times – showcasing their beauty, love, and hilarity in a variety of stages and fashions. It’s taken me awhile to put this blog post together… I’ve had a lack of words to describe my feelings on my most recent subject. I feel like I should let him speak for himself in his tiny, adorable baby way.
I will say this though: Congratulations on your amazing son my dear friends! I cannot wait to watch him grow and hopefully our first little photo session didn’t scar him and make him hate Auntie Bree forever. :) I can only imagine how much greatness lies within him.
P.S. The adorable elf hat you see Liam sporting was made by my talented friend Tatiana – check her out at Sweetheart Stitches on Etsy! :)

“The family is both the fundamental unit of society as well as the root of culture. It … is a perpetual source of encouragement, advocacy, assurance, and emotional refueling that empowers a child to venture with confidence into the greater world
and to become all that he can be.”
~Marianne E. Neifert
It was such a joy to spend some time at Hartley Botanica with this beautiful family a couple of weeks ago… a family that embodies the above quotation completely. You ccould also add laughter, fun, and a slew of other positive adjectives. I’m so lucky to have you all in my life. :)

“A brother is a friend given by Nature.”
~Jean Baptiste Legouve
“Boys are found everywhere — on top of, underneath, inside of, climbing on, swinging from, running around or jumping to.
Mothers love them, little girls hate them, older sisters and brothers tolerate them, adults ignore them and Heaven protects them.
A boy is Truth with dirt on its face, Beauty with a cut on its finger,
Wisdom with bubble gum in its hair and the Hope of the future with a frog in its pocket.”
~ Alan Marshall Beck

Across the country and through the clouds, to Nana’s house they went for the holidays. These two were out visiting Nana over the holidays and I had the honor of finally meeting them! I’ve seen pictures and heard such wonderful things about both the kids and their parents over the years – the whole family is even more beautiful in person!
Mary, thank you so much for everything you do and for all of your encouragement over the years. You have been such a blessing in my life. Your grandchildren are absolutely precious and the other members of your family were so kind. Enjoy your preview!
