Did you know my sweet nephew is almost seven months old now?! He had a big day at the beginning of this month. He was baptized!! It was a big day for me too – I’m his godmother. :D
It was a great weekend home with my family and I loved getting to spend so much time with this little guy. I feel super blessed to be chosen and trusted as his godmother by his parents. My prayers are many, but for now, my regular influence is limited to the board books and little lamb I gifted him since I live sort of far away. I found some great books on Amazon – a huge relief after being seriously disappointed in the baby/toddler options at Barnes & Noble.
I’m so glad my sister sends me videos and pictures all the time because I feel like I’m missing so much. He unstoppable now – crawling and starting to pull himself up! WHAT?! Baby boy, you’re just a BABY! Stop growing so quickly! :)
Now that he’s figured out crawling though, he does not have any interest in sitting still for pictures for auntie. :) My camera was way too interesting and he knew he could get it. I love this age for photos though. Plus that Baptism outfit?! I can’t even. And the bonnet. Oh goodness. Literally cannot. But, I will apologize to his future self though ’cause that was ALL auntie’s doing. I am a sucker for the bonnet, even if he does look like a little pilgrim. :) Just! So! Dang! CUTE! Come on, it’s true. Admit it.

This year, I’ve taken a lot of trips home for holidays and wedding-related activities (this amazing couple gets married NEXT SATURDAY! Can’t wait!).
One of the benefits is seeing my younger cousins more often. One of the other benefits is having a constant stream of photos that I can edit at my own leisure. :)
I’m still working on Easter photos from this year and this past weekend, I also got a few pictures of my now five year old cousin Elise and my now 13 year old cousins Megan and Savannah at Megan’s birthday party (with them is our other cousin Dylan).
Beautiful girls… all of them. :)

“Boys are found everywhere — on top of, underneath, inside of, climbing on, swinging from, running around or jumping to.
Mothers love them, little girls hate them, older sisters and brothers tolerate them, adults ignore them and Heaven protects them.
A boy is Truth with dirt on its face, Beauty with a cut on its finger,
Wisdom with bubble gum in its hair and the Hope of the future with a frog in its pocket.”

Three weeks and three days after Hayden made his appearance into the world and our family “tribe,” I finally got to meet the precious little man. John and Rachel, your little guy is simply perfect and I can’t wait to watch him grow with you. Shannon, take care of that handsome little brother of yours… he’s so lucky to have such an awesome big sister! Here’s a sneak peek from our session last weekend.
